The INFANTE project at the 71st International Astronautical Conference

The latest updates concerning the INFANTE project were released at the 71st International Astronautical Conference, from 12 to 14 October 2020.
INFANTE is set to deploy an innovative suite of both optical and radar sensors, exploring different imaging techniques across several bandwidths using satellite-borne cameras and a Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR). Also, sensors based in software-defined radio using GNSS, AIS and ADS-B receivers will allow fusing this data with Earth imaging so that a more cohesive and valuable piece of information can be provided. Such can be used to improve the current EO models and develop new solutions for vertical integration of EO data.
In tandem, INFANTE also showcases an adaptive Experiments Bay, with dedicated control electronics, capable of hosting different experimental payloads provided by multiple stakeholders. These payloads aim at in-orbit technology demonstration and gathering of scientific data, which will allow increasing its Technology Readiness Level.
